Anti-Netanyahu protesters take to streets for 37th week

TEHRAN, Sep. 18 (MNA) – Thousands of protesters took to the streets against the Israeli regime's cabinet for the 37th consecutive week.

Thousands of Zionists took to the streets of Tel Aviv on Sunday for the 37th week of protests against the Israeli regime's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s judicial reform, following a Supreme Court hearing against interfering with the country's fundamental laws, Sputnik reported.

On September 12, the Israeli regime's Supreme Court started considering petitions against the reform approved by the parliament in July, which limits the power of the court to overturn government decisions by declaring them unreasonable. The reform was approved under the opposition's boycott and amid months-long nationwide protests.

The protests have gained momentum since the end of July, when the Knesset passed the first bill of the overhaul plan, which restricted the Supreme Court's ability to declare the cabinet's decisions "unreasonable."

Reacting to the plan, more than 10,000 Zionist reserve troops, including members of the intelligence unit 8200 and air force pilots, have said they would no longer show up for duty on a voluntary basis. The decision has prompted the Zionist top brass to warn about changes to the regime's "war-readiness."
